Akai Mehling

Akai Jenkins-Mehling is an American BMX street rider from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Competing primarily in the street discipline, he has built his competitive record through USA BMX-sanctioned events, establishing himself as a consistent performer on the regional and national amateur circuit. His most notable result to date is a first-place finish at the USA BMX Milwaukee event in the 15 to 30 Men category in September 2022, where he topped a nine-rider field. He also posted a strong showing at the USA BMX The Finals in October 2021, placing 4th in both the qualifier and final rounds of the 15 and Up Men category out of 24 and 12 competitors respectively — one of the most competitive national-level amateur BMX events in the United States. Milwaukee has a long-standing BMX culture, and riders from the area have historically contributed to both the racing and freestyle scenes in the Midwest.
