Adriaan Louw is a young kitesurfer from Cape Town, South Africa, known for his involvement in the big air kiteboarding scene and his progression into advanced freestyle and hydrofoil disciplines. Born on December 5, 2006, he started kitesurfing at a very young age, around the age of 10, developing his skills in one of the world’s most renowned kitesurfing locations, Kite Beach in Cape Town.Growing up in a region famous for strong winds and competitive riders, Adriaan has been exposed to high-level kiteboarding conditions from early on. His riding style is influenced by modern big air progression, focusing on technical tricks such as kiteloops and complex board-off maneuvers. Among his favorite tricks is the kiteloop board-off double tornado, reflecting an emphasis on aerial control, commitment, and technical execution. In addition to kitesurfing, Adriaan has also explored hydrofoiling, demonstrating versatility across different wind and wave conditions. This adaptability allows him to train even on lighter wind days, maintaining consistency in his progression.
