Peaxel GW 2026-37 Recap: Van Rooyen Drops a Monster

Willie van Rooyen just posted a score that demands you pay attention. 2.26 million points. In a single gameweek. Fight Sports dominated the leaderboard like we’ve rarely seen, and if you didn’t have MMA in your roster, you felt the pain.

👑 THE DOMINANT FORCE

willie_van_rooyen — MMA — 2,259,606 pts

This is a statement performance. Van Rooyen didn’t just win GW 2026-37; he obliterated it. Over 750,000 points clear of second place. The South African MMA fighter has been climbing steadily through previous gameweeks, but this? This is a coronation. Managers who locked him in their lineup are celebrating. Everyone else is scrambling. The Arena doesn’t lie — when an athlete delivers at this level, you build around them.

🔥 THE RISING BLOC

🏅 THE SOLID MID-TABLE

Ranks 11-20 tell a story of Fight Sports depth. Rusu_Yuliia (Karate, 317,091) and Redwane_ameknassi (Karate, 243,456) prove the discipline has multiple viable assets. edumartinss (Footvolley, 240,828) represents Team Sports’ best showing. Mountain Biking shows up twice with blahavo (169,317) and markymath (137,641) — Extreme Sports managers take note. yusei_matsumoto (Trampoline, 124,761), odaagissinger (Road Cycling, 109,223), roni_balbul (Kiteboarding, 106,076), julianbijsterbosch (BMX Racing, 96,412), and Trent_does_gymnastics (Trampoline, 91,485) round out a competitive mid-table.

⚡ GAMEWEEK TALKING POINTS

Fight Sports Supremacy: Six of the top 10 are combat sports athletes. If your roster isn’t weighted toward Fight Sports, you’re leaving points on the table.

The Trampoline Pipeline: Multiple trampoline athletes scattered through the top 50. This sport is quietly becoming essential for diversified lineups.

Kiteboarding Cluster: Four kiteboarders in the 25,000-106,000 range. Water Sports has depth beyond the headline names.

BMX Racing Inconsistency: Despite multiple athletes, scores vary wildly. High ceiling, high volatility — manage accordingly.

📉 THE RED ZONE

Zero-point performances from aminekaiza (Gaming), mohammedibnousaid (MMA), taj_gleitsman (Trampoline), ahmed_haddadi (Karate), salah_koubidy (Karate), waisea_nayacalevu (Rugby Union), rick_veldhuizen (Trampoline Gymnastics), and maya_quinteros (Trampoline Gymnastics). Negative scores hit hard: akai_bmx (-671), melnyk_tetyana__ (-506), owentangavelou (-363), danny_fray (-352). Manager advice: rotate these cards out until form returns. The leaderboard waits for no one.

🎙️ FINAL WORD

GW 2026-37 belonged to the fighters. Willie van Rooyen put the Arena on notice with a generational score. Fight Sports proved it’s not just one athlete — it’s a movement. Managers who read the meta are thriving. Those who don’t are watching their rankings slip. This is the Athlete Economy. Adapt or fall behind. See you next week at game.peaxel.me.
